If you are someone who is planning to go to Ladakh then you are at the right place. In this article you can get to know the places that you can visit when you tour Ladakh.

First thing first, the best time to travel to Ladakh is from April to June when the climate would be pleasant and comfortable for you to explore a maximum number of places. And you at least need 7 to 10 days of time to completely explore the area and feel the place. After you have sorted out regarding the time you will be visiting the place then you will need to plan as to how you will reach Ladakh. There are various ways to reach Ladakh and most people follow either a bike trip to Ladakh or choose to travel by airplane. 

Leh has its own airport and is also one of the highest airports of the world so you can choose to travel by airplane if you want to reduce the travel time and the distance. As soon as you land in the airport you can check in the nearby hotel and spare a day for acclimatization in Ladakh.

This place is a special one because when you enter this place you will notice that you can remember a movie called 3 Idiot so this is the place where the famous movie was shot. This can be a good option for you to start your day with.

Thiksey Monastery 

The Thiksey monastery is the largest monastery of the central Ladakh so you will feel the vibes of Buddhism as soon as you enter the monastery. It is one of the best places that you need to add on your Leh Ladakh bike trip. You will notice that this monastery is a kind of replica of the one which is located in Tibet. It has a huge architecture and a very beautiful place to visit and you can find some large sculptures of Lord Buddha. And after this you can also visit Shey Palace, which is also of ancient architecture.

Sangam Point 

The Sangam point is an amazing point that shows a beautiful confluence of the rivers of Indus and Zanskar. Here you can notice the flow of two rivers in an absolutely different manner. Apart from this interesting location you can also spot a bridge near the valley where the movie called Jab Tak Hai Jaan was shot. 

Magnetic Hill 

Here you can witness the phenomena that you read in your textbooks, that is this is the point where the force of gravity is defied. You can also demonstrate yourself by parking your car on the road and experiencing the wonder of nature, where your car would be moved despite you keeping it in the neutral point. 

Guru Pather Sahib Gurdwara 

This Gurudwara is located exactly in the midst of the hills which look majestic at every point. Apart from being a very calm place, this Gurdwara also serves very tasty Langar that is full of Indian meals complemented with the delicious sweet that you can enjoy along with your family. 

Shanti Stupa 

This Stupa is the famous attraction of Leh that gives you an aerial view of the place from the top of the Stupa. This would be a perfect place to visit during the evening times. But before you travel during evening times do not forget to take your woolen clothes along with you as it becomes really cold out there. 

Nubra Valley 

If you are coming on a bike then it would be easy for you to explore the Valley. If you do not have any bike then there are options of hiring a bike in the nearby place so you can hire by exploring Nubra Valley. If you are not comfortable with a bike then you can also hire a taxi and go ahead. While exploring Nubra Valley you will be reaching a place called Khardungla Pass which is the second highest motorable road in the world. But for this you need to take the prior permission from the DC office of Ladakh or you can also apply online. Apart from enjoying the scenic beauty of the valley, you can also visit the desert area of Ladakh where you will find the double humped Camels. And you can also get the chance of riding on it along the sand dunes.  

North Pullu 

North Pullu is a place where you will reach before reaching Nubra Valley. This is the major stopping point for the travelers and riders who choose to tour Khardungla Pass. It has a beautiful landscape along with the snow-clad mountains that you cannot afford to miss during your Ladakh tour.
